Crocodile Eli

Elikay for some reason or other associates boats on the water with the immenent danger of a crocodile bite. Such that if she sees someone in a boat on the water or is herself pretending to be on a boat in the water (reglardless of fresh or sea water) she will cry out "Careful! Crocodile gonna bite you!"

Lately this has evolved into a game where I am asked to spread a blanket on the floor (aka a boat). Elikay will ride on the boat until such a time as she decides to roll off and pretend to be in a panic as imaginary crocodiles are snapping at her feat. My role in this game is to pull her into the boat quickly so that once safely inside she can say (without fail) "Few! That was a close one!".

Potty Power

We're in the epic struggle of potty training with Elikay these days. And thanks to 48 hours of accident free living the trainee earned a trip to Target to purchase toddler panties. When we got home we laid them out for her to choose which she'd wear today. This was all very exciting for her.

What we didn't expect however was that she'd take to carrying around the entire mass of panties in a wadded up ball as if it was a new stuffed toy or security blanket.
